Hulu acquired “Deano,” an animated series based on “Childish Deano,” for global distribution. The eight-episode series is created and written by Dean Thomas and David Ferrier, with Thomas voicing Deano.
Joe Brumm, “Bluey” creator, will executive produce.
The series follows Deano, a charming boy from a tough neighborhood, and his friendship with Kit, a timid boy from a wealthy family.
Hooligan Animation is producing the show in Brisbane with government support. Greg Basser, Tracey Robertson, Ross Shuman, Nathan Mayfield, Tracey Vieira, and Adam Bailey are also executive producers.
“Deano” will air on Hulu in the US, BBC in the UK, and Disney+ internationally.
