Bitcoin exchange-traded products (ETPs) now hold over 1.47 million Bitcoin, representing 7% of the total supply. US-based funds dominate, holding around 1.29 million BTC, with BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF leading at 746,810 BTC. Global Bitcoin ETPs added 170,000 BTC worth approximately $18.7 billion from late 2024 to August 2025, but August saw a $301 million outflow as Ethereum attracted $3.95 billion. Meanwhile, Bitcoin whales shifted investments to Ether, with one selling 4,000 BTC for 96,859 Ether. Demand for Bitcoin wanes, with regulatory decisions on pending ETFs expected soon, complicating its future trajectory.
