Aston Villa is reportedly in discussions to acquire Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, according to Sky Sports Switzerland. Under manager Unai Emery, the club has achieved European football for three consecutive seasons, including reaching the Champions League quarter-finals. As Emiliano Martinez may leave this summer, Villa is targeting Chevalier, who has enjoyed a strong season at Lille and would cost around £34 million. Discussions with Chevalier’s entourage are already underway. If Martinez departs, Chevalier is seen as an excellent replacement who would be open to joining Villa.
