Indian food safety officials issued a warning to a McDonald’s outlet in Jaipur after finding unfit cooking oil and rotten tomatoes during an inspection on February 9th. Forty liters of repeatedly used oil were deemed unsafe, and samples were seized for testing. The officials also discovered rotten tomatoes in storage. Connaught Plaza Restaurants, McDonald’s franchise for North and East India, stated cooperation with authorities and adherence to global standards. McDonald’s has been given 14 days to rectify the issues or face further action. Officials plan to inspect more McDonald’s outlets in Jaipur.
